Money and Health with Chris

Welcome To My Site

Hello everyone and welcome to my site!  Or is it blog?  Well…welcome to Money and Health with Chris!  It took me a looooong time to get to this point.  I’ve been looking at ways to get my messaging out and it has definitely been a journey.  Like many of you I was constantly looking for ways to make more money and be financially independent.  The stress of paying bills can become a daily nuisance your life and affect you physically, mentally and emotionally.  Here’s another one.  How many of you have put on extra pounds, want to exercise more or be better about what you eat?  As we get older, our body changes and we can’t get away with things we did in our younger days.  So basically…..I’m just like you!  I wanted to make an honest site or blog (ok I still don’t know which one this is!) about two of the most basic necessities and worries that we have about our day to day well being and lifestyle…..Money and Health.

I did most of the things you’re supposed to do growing up.  I was an active kid, got good grades, involved in tons of activities, excelled in sports, went to a major university, continued my activities, worked for both small and large companies, I obtained several licenses and certification and many different fields, started several businesses of my own, etc, etc.  Sounds good right?  Well…along the way I made a lot of mistakes.  And I mean…A LOT!  One of the main things I’ve learned over the years is how to listen. If you listen to people…and I mean TRULY and actively listen to people, they will tell you exactly what they need.  So, in practicing this exercise of active listening I became pretty good at giving sound advice and explaining things.  And this is ultimately what this site or blog (I will define it at some point) will be all about it.  It’s going to be about the questions I’ve been asked over the years and continue to be asked about money and finances as well as health and fitness.

Money and finances will probably be more straightforward but let me dig into health and fitness a little deeper.  When most people think of health and fitness they think of a well-muscled athlete or the beach body goddess with beautiful curves.  That’s just one small facet of health and fitness.  Physical exercise, nutrition and mental/emotional health are all equally important in calculating one’s overall health and fitness.  It’s much more than what the eye can see.  Remember some of those many, many, many licenses and certifications I talked about earlier?  Yeah….just a part of the long journey that got me to this point.

I want us to have open discussions about real topics we can all relate to and have a little fun along the way.  I like to joke and have fun.  Life is serious, be you can’t take everything too SERIOUSLY!

So, what should you expect from my little piece of the world wide web?  I will bring you open conversation on some financial topic we all can wrap our heads around and hopefully expand your knowledge about things you didn’t know.  Things like how to make an extra $1,000 a week passively, explaining your 401K, different tax saving strategies or how to save money fixing your house.  On the flip side we’ll discuss the best routine to help you lose the baby weight, how to train for a half marathon, meal prep ideas to help you and your family eat healthier or techniques to practice for a positive state of mind.   Trust me this blog or site (still deciding….) will continue to grow and evolve, pivot, twist, turn but one thing I promise is it will continue to move forward and give you knowledge, insight, comfort, joy and hopefully a few laughs along the way.  I encourage feedback from you and welcome your opinion as well as topics you’d like me to discuss. I appreciate you taking the time out of your busy schedule and hectic day to read, learn and grow with me and what I hope will be a community of followers as we start this journey together.  Just like in life I know I will make many mistakes along the way, so I humbly ask for your patience, grace and forgiveness ahead of time.

Thank you again for reading the first entry to my blog and welcome to Money and Health with Chris!
